EP Jayarajan's autobiography controversy: DC Books suspends head of publication department

KOTTAYAM: DC Books has suspended AV Sreekumar, the head of its publication department in connection with the controversy surrounding the autobiography of CPM central committee member EP Jayarajan. The disciplinary action against Sreekumar was taken after the police recorded the statement of DC Books owner Ravi DC on the complaint lodged by EP Jayarajan. According to reports, the action was taken after conducting an internal investigation.

Earlier, DC Books had issued a clarification on the reports about the police recording the statement of Ravi DC.

'Ravi DC has recorded his statement regarding the book of EP Jayarajan. However, the reports that are doing the rounds through some media outlets are baseless. Books are published only by following the necessary procedures. It is inappropriate to express opinions at this stage when an investigation is going on,' read a note shared by DC Books on social media.

Meanwhile, police will soon hand over the investigation report to the DGP.
