KOZHIKODE: More information came out in the case of Pantheerankavu domestic violence victim again undergoing torture in her husband’s house. Neema (26), a native of Ernakulam, alleged getting beaten up by her husband Rahul.
According to Neema, Rahul became perturbed after finding fault with the improper proportion of tamarind in the fish curry prepared by his wife. This resulted in the beatings. The incident happened on Sunday. Neema said that the torture continued even on the next day.
She suffered injuries on her left eye and lips. Neema was rushed to Kozhikode Medical College and then to the emergency section. After helping her get there, Rahul fled the spot. After being informed by the hospital authorities, the police reached the hospital at night and recorded the woman's statement. As per reports, the woman asked police to help her move to her house in Ernakulam. Neema is not ready to move with a complaint. However, her father reached the spot and confirmed that he would take his daughter to his house, only after registering a complaint with the police.
