THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the police arrested Balabhaskar's driver Arjun in a gold theft case recently, the violinist’s father Unni came forward with some serious allegations. He alleged that his son was murdered and that the CBI and other agencies have been investigating but did not find anything.

He says
'Arjun was previously an accused in an ATM robbery case and a theft case. We came to know about this only after Balabhaskar's death. Arjun had filed a case in the MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal) claiming that he was not on the driver’s seat at the time of Balabhaskar’s death and demanded a compensation of Rs one crore from us.

It is said that the CBI investigated his death case. We only have hearsay about this. We came to know that the CBI submitted a report in the court that has not been touched anywhere. The investigation teams are trying to protect the smuggling team. Even the CBI has succumbed to their influence.

Balabhaskar was murdered by a gold smuggling team. People like Vishnu and Thampi are behind this. They were in jail for some time and were later released on bail. Raman Pillai is conducting the case for them. Incidents like gold smuggling are still going on. All of them are highly influential. '

Accused including Arjun had attacked jewelery owners when they were going home last Thursday. They were attacked in Perinthalmanna and stole 3.5 kilos of gold from them. The police had earlier arrested 13 accused for the major theft conspired.
