VATICAN CITY: Pope Francis has emphasized the enduring relevance of the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru, particularly in the context of rising intolerance and hatred. The Pope noted that the Guru's message, advocating for universal human fraternity, holds significant value in today's world.
The remarks were made during his benediction address at the All-Religious Conference organized by the Sivagiri Mutt. The Pope will also participate in the All-Religious Conference and the World Parliament being held at the Vatican, the spiritual center of love and unity, in memory of Sree Narayana Guru.
The event has drawn representatives from over 15 countries, including Italy, Bahrain, Indonesia, Ireland, the UAE, England and the United States. Cardinal Lazarus U Heungsik will inaugurate the conference under the leadership of Swami Satchidananda at noon IST (9 am local time).
The conference will commence with the singing of 'Daivadasakam', a prayer composed by Sree Narayana Guru and translated into Italian. Swami Satchidananda is scheduled to deliver a keynote lecture on "Sree Narayana Darshan and World Peace."
