ABU DHABI: BSNL has announced a new scheme for Malayalee expatriates in the UAE. The SIM card, which is being used in India, can now be used in the UAE under the BSNL scheme. Both prepaid and postpaid SIM cards can be used in this way. BSNL has announced on the X platform that a special recharge needs to be made for this.
BSNL is implementing this project in the Kerala Circle first. To avail this facility, consumers need to make a special recharge of Rs 167 for 90 days and Rs 57 for 30 days. The home SIM card can also be used in the UAE through a special recharge. The special recharge is for the validity of the card. Consumers will have to make a separate recharge for calling and data. BSNL considered the UAE for this as it is a country with a large number of Malayalees.
