Holiday declared in Kottayam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Wayanad districts; Tourists banned at Vagamon

KALPETTA: Heavy rainfall is expected in northern parts of Kerala on Monday. As a precautionary step, the collectors of various districts have declared a holiday for educational institutions on Monday. Educational institutions in Wayanad, Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts will remain closed tomorrow. The holiday is applicable to all educational institutions including Anganwadis, Tuition Centers and Professional Colleges.

The holiday does not apply to Model Residential Schools in Wayanad. Night travel on the Erattupetta-Vagamon road and entry to tourist spots like Illickal Kallu, Marmala waterfall and Ilaveezhapoonchira have been banned till December 4th.
