BENGALURU: Paramesh, the brother of a police constable, was arrested for murdering his sister, Nagamani. The victim, a constable at the Hayat Nagar police station, was killed in a brutal attack.

According to the police, Paramesh, enraged by his sister's decision to marry a man from a different caste, attacked her with a car before hacking her to death. The incident occurred when Nagamani was struck by the car and then fatally assaulted.

The crime took place shortly after Nagamani, aged 25, married Srikanth, a man from a different caste, two weeks ago. It is reported that the family strongly opposed the marriage, fueling Paramesh's anger.

Nagamani died at the scene and the accused fled the area immediately after the murder. However, the police were able to arrest Paramesh within hours of the crime. The case is under investigation and further details are awaited.
