Young man dies after being set on fire by friends over loan dispute

KOLLAM: A young man who was set on fire by his friends over a financial dispute has succumbed to his injuries. The deceased, identified as Riyas, a resident of Umayanallur, was undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for severe burns sustained in the attack.

The incident occurred in Mylapur, Kollam, where Riyas’s friends, identified as Shefiq and Thufail, poured petrol on him and set him ablaze after he failed to repay a loan.
