There is a long list of car enthusiasts among celebrities, especially cricketers. Former Indian captain and star cricketer Virat Kohli is one of them. He owns a number of luxury cars that only a few celebrities in the country can afford. But do you know which was the first car owned by the star? Virat himself revealed the answer in an interview.
Many would have expected the star to buy some sports model car. However, Virat's response even surprised his fans.
"My first car? I still remember buying my first car in 2008. It was a Tata Safari," Virat said.
The star cricketer also revealed the reason for buying the car. "I was fond of big cars from a very young age. I also loved installing a music system on my car. Back then, fitting a new music system as an extra fitting was a big trend in Delhi," he said.
Virat Kohli bought his first car after India won the Under-19 World Cup. Virat was the captain of the team. The same year, Kohli made his debut in the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Soon after, in August, he made his international debut for India.
