Actor Nandu, who is part of the much-anticipated film Empuraan, has revealed that only four individuals know the identity of the film's villain. He said he has no interest in knowing the full story before its release, emphasizing his excitement about experiencing it firsthand in the theater.
“To be honest, I don’t know who the villain is. Only Murali Gopy (the writer), Prithviraj (the director), Mohanlal (the hero) and Antony Perumbavoor (the producer) know the full story. Mohanlal’s character, Stephen Nedumpally, has another side and we are heading into dual tracks in the sequel. As actors, our job is to perform and move on.
Even if Prithviraj tells me, ‘Hey, I’ll tell you the story,’ but I said, ‘No need.’ If we know the entire plot beforehand, it takes away the magic. For this film, I’m waiting to savor the theater experience,” said Nandu.
Prithviraj and Antony Perumbavoor recently announced the completion of Empuraan's shooting, which has raised fans' expectations for the sequel to the blockbuster Lucifer.
The first part, Lucifer, released on March 28, 2019, featured Mohanlal in the dual roles of Abram Qureshi and Stephen Nedumpally. Directed by Prithviraj, the film boasted a star-studded cast, including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Saniya Iyappan, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar and Baiju Santhosh.
Empuraan is scripted by Murali Gopy, with cinematography by Sujith Vasudev and music composed by Deepak Dev. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas in association with Lyca Productions, the sequel will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
