THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran faced criticism at the Palayam area conference on Tuesday. The mayor and the chief minister received criticism while discussing the political report.
The representatives denounced the Mayor’s working style and reminded her of the modest beginnings. According to some members, the Mayor’s working style is becoming detrimental to the party.
“An award won’t take away the damages inflicted on the corporation. The mayor and her husband stopped a KSRTC bus on the road and harassed the driver. It brought nothing but shame to the party.’ The representatives demanded that the Mayor correct her mistakes.
The members opined that the touted ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ was a futile attempt to upend the party’s prospects in the state. The members even criticized CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s style of governance. It is alleged that the welfare pension scheme and the government activities have not reached ordinary people in society.
If the leaders had shown a little more propriety in Mangalapuram, the current problems could have been avoided. The current secretary Prasannakumar is likely to change.
