NEW DELHI: A HIV-positive youth was found brutally murdered. The body of the 25-year-old youth was found in a vacant yard near Delhi's Palam Vihar railway station. There were several injuries on his body and this is likely to have caused by a sharp object. His private parts were found mutilated. A passerby saw the body and informed the police. The police found his phone from near his body. Police said that he was hit on his head with a heavy object.
Police said the youth went missing on November 23. His family then lodged a missing complaint at Dwakara Sector 23 police station. The youth was a resident of Tigri in south Delhi. He worked as an executive for an e-commerce website. His phone examination revealed that he was in a relationship with a man. Police also said they suspected that the youth was homosexual from the chats between the two. Further examination revealed that the youth was married and HIV-positive.
CCTV visuals show two people following the youth. The police have taken two suspects into custody and questioned them, but have not been able to establish any connection between them and the murder. The police suspect that the motive behind the murder could be problems in the relationship with the young man or concealing information about his illness. Police said the investigation is nearing its final stages and that they cannot say anything more at this time.
