Speaker AN Shamseer gifts blue trolley bags to new MLAs; pure coincidence says office

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker AN Shamseer has given blue trolley bags as gifts to the new MLAs. The bag contains a book on the rules of the legislative assembly and the Constitution. The Speaker's office said it was a coincidence.

The bag, which is currently in the possession of the MLA hostel assistant manager, will be handed over to the MLAs later. The assembly secretariat informed that Uma Thomas and Chandy Oommen were also given blue bags when they took charge. The blue trolley bag was a big controversy in the Palakkad by-election. It was alleged that black money was brought in a blue trolley bag to the hotel under the leadership of Rahul Mamkootathil.
