SHORNUR: The Vande Bharat train earlier halted near Shornur due to a technical glitch resumed its journey. After three and a half hours delay due to battery failure, the train finally continued its journey from Shornur by 9:20 pm on Wednesday.

The Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram train will have a special stop at Angamaly for today. The stop was allowed as a part of providing convenience to the passengers at the Nedumbassery airport. The train resumed its journey to Thiruvananthapuram with another electric engine installed.

The train left Kasaragod in the afternoon and arrived at Shornur Junction at half past five in the evening. After finding a technical fault, the train was brought to a halt near B cabin. The train was supposed to reach Thrissur at 6.10 pm. With swamps on either side of the tracks, Passengers found it difficult to get out. The improper cooling inside the cabin made the journey horrible for many.

The train, which was supposed to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central Station at 10.40 pm, will now reach its destination only at 1.54 am. Railway will investigate the incident in detail.
