Body of Malayali youth, missing for nine days, found floating in Ganga river

NEW DELHI: The body of a missing Malayali youth was found on the banks of Ganga river in Rishikesh on Saturday. The victim is Akash, a native of Pathanamthitta. The body was recovered nine days after the youngster went missing in the river. Akash and his family have been settled in Delhi for many years.

Akash, an employee at a private company, reached Rishikesh along with his colleagues just nine days before. The accident happened during their visit to the river. Even MPs from Kerala intervened in the issue to fast-track the search for the youngster. The body has been shifted to AIIMS for post-mortem. The cremation will be held in Delhi.
