THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian stated that the government was not at all worried about the omitted portions of the Hema Committee report coming out. If the court and commission request the release of the information, the government will not object, the minister said.

"Why should the government be afraid? Everything should be made public. Initially, it was the media that reported that the report contained several shocking revelations and incidents. However, when the report came out, none of those incidents were mentioned in it. I don't know what's inside the report, I haven't read it. If someone takes legal action and brings it out, so be it. Why should the government be on the defensive?" the minister asked.

"The government formed the committee based on the appeal given by WCC regarding the issues in the film industry in Kerala. This is a step that has not been taken in any other state in India. The government is accepting all the procedures. There has been no lapse from the government's side," he said.

Although it was announced that the omitted parts of the Hema Committee report would be released today, it did not happen. This was due to a complaint received by the State Information Commission. The commission is currently investigating these complaints. A decision on releasing the omitted parts will be made after the investigation.
