Man dies after car hits him during wedding arrangements of daughter

KANNUR: A man died after a car hit him in front of his house while marriage preparations of his daughter were going on. He has been identified as P V Valsan Asari (55) of Pavannur Motta. The accident happened at 7.30 pm on Saturday. The car that was going to Irikkur from Mayyil hit him.

His daughter Shikha's wedding was scheduled for December 28. The accident occurred when he was returning from his neighbour’s house with a wheelbarrow to remove the items brought for the wedding preparations. He was immediately taken to the Kannur District Hospital, but his life could not be saved. He will be laid to rest today. He leaves behind his wife Preetha and children: Shikha and Shwetha.
