Youth commits suicide in Kochi after threats from goons 

KOCHI: A youth committed suicide following the threat of goons at Thiruvankulam in Kochi. A youth identified as Babu was found hanging in a tree. His suicide note said that he is taking the drastic step following threats. Police said Babu committed suicide after goons Harish and Manikyan beat him.

The goons attacked Babu on December 5. He was attacked for not taking the goons out on bail in an assault case. Babu then filed a complaint and had mentioned life threat in it. The Hill Palace police then registered a case on his complaint. Harish and Manikyan are absconding. Harish is an accused in two murder cases. Babu was also an accused in a criminal case.
