PATNA: Train services were disrupted following a fight between monkeys for a banana. The incident was witnessed at Samastipur station in Bihar the other day. The passengers were shocked seeing the fight during peak hour. The incident took place near the overbridge on the eastern side of the station.
Following the fight between the monkeys, one of the two threw an object at the other and this hit the overhead wire and the electrical line tripped. This disrupted the train services for some time.
As soon as the incident came to light, the railway protection force informed the control room. The power supply was disconnected to prevent further accidents. This delayed train services. The authorities immediately resolved the problems in the power wires.
RPF inspector Ved Prakash Verma clarified that the problem was caused by a monkey and the situation has been brought under control. He informed that train services were able to resume immediately.
