Director Alleppey Ashraf revealed an incident about CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s failed move to send actor Mammootty to the Rajya Sabha. The revelation came through Ashraf’s YouTube channel.

Ashraf:

“Pinarayi has special affection and love for Mammootty. Meanwhile, Mammootty is someone who would do anything to stay away from controversies. What I am revealing here may not seem credible to some. But even if the truth is covered with a golden bowl, one day it will certainly come out. It is the law of nature.

Mammootty has few confidantes inside CPM. The actor has the liberty to say anything to them and the news will certainly remain within themselves. However, the CM's decision to send Mammootty to the Rajya Sabha irked many within the party.

Once, a close confidante of Mammootty was inside the CM’s chamber. The same day, Mammootty called that person to discuss a serious issue. The glib talk soon morphed into harsh criticism of CM Pinarayi Vijayan and for no reason, the confidante switched on the phone speaker. Without knowing this, Mammootty continued his harangue at CM. Hearing this, the countenance of CM Pinarayi changed and a darkness enveloped his face. The CM had no words to respond since he had special care and affection towards Mammootty.

Soon after, Mammooty came to know about the gaffe and headed straight to Cliff house. The actor had a candid talk with the CM and confessed his innocence over the incident. The CM was relieved and took the issue by his stride.”
