Woman living alone found dead; blouse torn, nail marks on face

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 65-year-old woman who was living alone in Pothencode has been found dead. The dead is Thankamma. Her clothes were found torn. There was a nail injury on her face. She was found dead Tuesday morning.

Her siblings are living close by. Her body was found near the house of one of her siblings. Her sister saw the body first. She then informed her relatives and the police. Thankamma used to go plucking flowers for pooja in the morning.

Her blouse was found torn. Her earrings are missing. Her body was covered with the mundu she was wearing. Flowers and her slippers were lying near the body. Forensic team and fingerprint experts have reached the spot. After the inquest proceedings, the body will be shifted to the hospital for postmortem. The Mangalapuram police have registered a case of unnatural death in the incident.
