KOCHI: The high court criticized placing a flux board at the Thuravoor Mahadeva temple in Alappuzha. The devaswom bench asked why the flux board with pictures of the chief minister, Travancore Devaswom Board President and others was placed there. The court added that the Devaswom Board President is the in-charge and trustee of the temples and not the owner.

Devotees come to the temple to see God and not to see the flux greeting them. The court also asked why those responsible did not remove the flux from there. The court clarified that placing such flux boards cannot be allowed in the temple, which is the gateway to Sabarimala. Justice Anil K Narendran said that if the money spent on flux is spent on providing food, it would have been more beneficial for Ayyappa devotees.
