Car chase to make reels; 20-year-old youth meets tragic end at Kozhikode Beach road

KOZHIKODE: A youth met a tragic end after being hit by his friend's car while shooting reels at the Vellayil area on Kozhikode Beach road. TK Alvin (20), a resident of Vadakara Katameri, died. One of the vehicles in the group hit the man while he was filming the video of the car chase.

The accident happened around 7.30 am on Tuesday. Alvin was filming a video from the road using his mobile phone when the car hit him. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital by the youths who were with him, but he died in the afternoon. The vehicles have been taken into police custody. It is indicated that there were two vehicles. The police concluded that the accident was caused by careless driving. The police will soon record the statement of the youth.
