'I am not afraid of anyone; I am sure of what I said'; reiterates R Sreelekha 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former DGP R Sreelekha reiterated that what she said are things that she is convinced of. She was responding to the media after the survivor in the actor assault case takes legal action against Sreelekha for her statement in the court that there was no evidence against Dileep.

'I am not afraid of anyone. Let them say anything. I am very sure of what I said', she said. In an interview to an online media, Sreelekha said there was no evidence against Dileep in the actor assault case. The survivor has now approached the court, pointing it as contempt of court.

Her words
'Truly, I was sure then that Dileep was not involved in this. I am really convinced that Dileep is innocent in this case. These are the facts that I directly investigated, understood and found out. I have to say all this at some point. I thought I would say it after the investigation in the case is over. But I realized that it will never end and so said.

I didn't say it supporting Dileep. I presented the scientific evidence of the case. When a sexual assault case comes, I have to stand with them. I was like that until I saw Dileep in a weak state in jail. I came to know more about it when I investigated.

We feel disappointed when some cases are investigated after taking much effort and when it reaches court, we don’t get a satisfactory response. I had explained the matter about Dileep to many including the chief minister. They all know what I am saying. They have not accepted it. The response was that the case is ongoing.’
