KABUL: Afghanistan's refugee minister Khalil Rahman Haqqani was killed in a suicide bombing attack in Kabul. 58-year-old Haqqani was one of the most prominent leaders of the Taliban. Haqqani's son-in-law has confirmed the news of his death.

He was a prominent member of the Haqqani network, which is supported by the Taliban. Khalil Rahman Haqqani was born in 1966 in Paktia Province, Afghanistan. Khalil Haqqani is a globally designated terrorist with a $5 million bounty on his head. The US considers him a key player in the 20-year-long war in Afghanistan.
