Accident on bypass road; Kanyakumari native youth dies in Thiruvananthapuram

POOVAR: A youth met with a tragic end after his motorbike hit a concrete block installed on the bypass road. The deceased has been identified as Ashiq (23), the son of Kanyakumari Madhavalayam native Muhammad Rasheed and Beema. The accident took place on the Kovalam Karode bypass at Mannakkallu in Thirupuram on Tuesday morning.

The four-lane road in Mannakkallu was reduced to two lanes using concrete blocks as the construction for a flyover was underway on the road. Unaware of this, Ashiq, who was travelling by bike, met with an accident. Though he was rushed to the medical college hospital, his life could not be saved. Ashiq was an employee at a textile shop in Thiruvananthapuram, and the accident occurred while he was on his way to work.
