Three Keralites including two-month-old baby killed in car-lorry collision in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Three Keralites of Thiruvalla were killed and one seriously injured in an accident in Tamil Nadu. The accident happened after their car collided with a van at L&T bypass in Tamil Nadu. The dead have been identified as Jacob Abraham (60), son of K C Abrahaham at Kutty near Eraviperoor in Thiruvalla, his wife Sheela Jacob (55) and their grandson Aarone Jacob Thomas, a two-month-old baby. Their daughter-in-law Eleena Thomas (30), who was with them has been shifted to Sundarapuram Abhirami Hospital in a critical condition.

The car proceeding towards Bengaluru from Thiruvalla collided with the courier van going to Palakkad. The accident happened Thursday morning near Nayara petrol pump on L&T bypass at Madukkarai. The accident happened when the couple was going to drop Eleena and their grandson to Bengaluru. The bodies have been shifted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.

The lorry driver identified as Shaktivel has been arrested in connection with the incident.
