Devotees flock to Sabarimala despite heavy rain; 78,483 visited yesterday alone

PATHANAMTHITTA: The number of pilgrims at Sabarimala has crossed 75,000 for the third consecutive day. Despite heavy rains, tens of thousands of devotees are flocking to the shrine. Yesterday, on the day of Thrikarthika in the month of Vrishchikam, 78,483 devotees had darshan.


A joint meeting was held to coordinate the safety of pilgrims as the weather continues to be adverse. No restrictions have been imposed on pilgrims presently. Devotees coming via the forest path have been advised to be extremely cautious as there is ground is slippery in the forest area.
