HYDERABAD: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun was arrested by the police from his home on December 13. It was a surprise not only to Allu's fans but also to the Telugu film world. It was also alleged that the police arrived at the actor's bedroom and arrested him. A video of Allu himself asking the police about this was also circulated.

The actor was arrested after he reached Sandhya theatre during the screening of Pushpa-2 and a woman was killed in the ensuing stampede. The lower court order was to remand Allu Arjun. Following this the star family approached the High Court and Allu got bail. However, the police put Allu in jail one night since they did not get the bail order.

However, the current state of affairs is like saying 'All's well that ends well'. After Allu Arjun's arrest, the theatre collection of Pushpa 2 has increased by 70 percent. So far the film has collected 1200 crore rupees. While fans say that this indicates Allu's stardom, another section says that it was all just a PR stunt.

Rashmika Mandana is Allu Arjun's heroine in the movie. Fahadh Faasil, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj also play other lead roles.
