15th Sivagiri Pilgrimage Conclave in UAE: Organizing committee formed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Sivagiri Pilgrimage Meeting will be organized in the UAE as in previous years in connection with the Sivagiri Pilgrimage. Eight unions in the UAE are jointly organizing the pilgrimage meet at the Ajman Indian Association under the leadership of SNDP Yogam UAE.

The Organizing Committee for the 15th Sivagiri Pilgrimage to be organized in February has been formed. Shine K Das, joint secretary of SNDP Yogam (Sevanam) UAE Central Committee and member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Union was elected as General Convener in a general meeting chaired by MK Rajan, the Chairman of SNDP Yogam (Sevanam) UAE Central Committee, at Spicy Land Hall, Sharjah.

Siju Mangalassery (Secretary of Sharjah Union), Anil Vidyadharan (President of Ras Al Khaimah Union), Rajguru (Secretary of Fujara Union), Kalesh (Sharjah Union), Chatterjee (Member of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Union), Nissan Sasidharan (Member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Union), Dinesh (Vice President of Alain Union) and Jayashree Animon (Convener of SNDP Yogam (Sevanam) UAE Central Committee Women's Section, Alain) were elected as Joint General Convenors. A 200-member organizing committee and 25 sub-committees were formed.

MK Rajan, who received the blessing of Pope John Paul, was honoured. Sreedharan Prasad-Central Committee Vice Chairman and Acting Secretary, Suresh Thirukulam-Central Committee Joint Secretary, Sajan Sathya (Dubai Union Secretary) Youth Wing Convener and others were present.
