Drunken driving through IFFK main venue Tagore theatre: Three including award-winning film director booked

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The museum police registered a case against three people, including a film director, for dangerously driving a car into the IFFK main venue. It is alleged that the director was drunk while at the wheels. A case was filed against director Suveeran (57), friends Prakashan (52) and Madhu (49). The incident happened on Wednesday evening. The delegates informed the police after seeing the vehicle being driven dangerously through the main venue of the festival in Tagore Theatre, Vazhuthacaud.

The museum police reached the spot immediately and took the three into custody. Police said Suveeran was driving the car. When the police stopped the car, Suveeran introduced himself as a film director. All three were taken to the station, a case was registered. Later, the three were released on bail.
