Asked to come home alone; woman slaps jailer with sandal on public road

CHENNAI: Woman assaulted a jailer with sandal in the middle of the road. The incident took place in Tamil Nadu. Madurai Central Jail Assistant Jailer Balaguruswamy was beaten up. The woman is the granddaughter of a jail inmate. The attack took place after Balaguruswamy asked the woman to come to his home alone. Hearing this, the woman gathered her relatives and thrashed the jailer.

Taking advantage of the acquaintance with the girl who was visiting a prisoner, Balaguruswamy invited her to come home alone. The woman informed about this at home. The girl and other women came and beat up the jailer on the road. He was then taken to the police station. A video of the woman beating the jailer has surfaced. Following the incident, the Madurai police registered a case against Balaguruswamy on the girl's complaint. He was suspended.
