Badminton superstar and Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu got married on Monday. Sindhu tied the nuptial knot with Venkata Datta Sai, a family friend and executive director of the leading software company Posidex Technologies. Sai is a native of Hyderabad.
The wedding was on Sunday morning in Udaipur’s Raffles Resort, an opulent five-star hotel. Sindhu is yet to share the wedding photos on social media while Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat waited no time to share a photo on X wishing the newlyweds. This photo has now gone viral on social media. The family will conduct a wedding reception in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Sindhu, now 29, won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The ace shuttler is planning a return to court by January 2025. Sindhu is the daughter of former national volleyball players PV Ramana and PV Vijaya.
