On Sunday, movie director Vinayan highly praised Unni Mukundan for the success of the actor’s new movie ‘Marco’. The director termed Unni a role model for young Malayalam actors and adulated the young actor’s unparalleled dedication. However, a comment on Facebook questioned the motive behind the director calling Marco a great film. Interestingly, this query caught the director's attention.
“I would like to know what motivated you to call Marco a great film. I have not seen a movie in recent times that is as bad as Marco. If you have identified any special or artistic excellence from the movie, please share it with us.” This was the comment that triggered a response from the director.
“I said about the dedication and sincerity of Unni Mukundan to help his movie turn into a success. It is no menial task. The ultimate aim of such genre movies is to achieve commercial success. The young actor has done his job perfectly and so my praise” replied Vinayan.
Unni Mukundan starrer 'Marco' includes gore violence which has now made many theatres ban entry to children aged below 16.
