CHITTUR: A special team has been appointed to investigate the incident of vandalizing a Christmas crib at Government UP School in Chenthamara Nagar, Thathamangalam. DYSP VK Krishnadas will investigate the case.

The crib was installed in the school on Friday, as part of Christmas celebrations. As it was impossible to break the grill, the assailants used sticks to pass through the grill and vandalize the crib.

Last day, Sangh Parivar activists stormed into Nallepilly government UP school disrupting the Christmas celebrations. In the complaint, the teachers said the activist even threatened the students. The police arrested three people from Nallepilly in the incident.

Minister K. Krishnankutty visited Thathamangalam school and connected the dots between the incident in Nallepilly and this one. The minister warned about miscreants trying to disrupt social harmony in the state and promised to bring the incident to the chief minister’s notice.
