'Read full script but rejected Drishyam' ; Veteran actress Shobana opens up

Shobhana, the veteran actress and the undisputed dame of the 90s era in Mollywood is heading back for a comeback alongside Mohanlal in ‘Thudarum’. Despite having worked in all of south India, it was Malayalam that helped the actress win the national award for her performance in ‘Manichitrathazhu’.

In a recent interview, Shobana opened up about her missed chance to pair opposite Mohanlal in the superhit movie ‘Drishyam’. The actress revealed this in an interview on a private YouTube channel.

“The movie ‘Karakattakkaran’ in Tamil was offered to me but I couldn’t accept it. Similarly, Mohanlal's film ‘Drishyam’ came my way and even the makers gave me the script to go through. However, I had already committed to Vineeth Sreenivasan’s movie and was unable to accept the Drishyam offer.” said Shobana.
