LUCKNOW: A 36-year-old woman eloped with a beggar, leaving behind her husband and six children. Following her disappearance, her husband, Raju, filed a complaint with the police. Authorities have registered a case and are searching for the two individuals.
Raju, 45, lived in Harpalpur, Hardoi, with his wife Rajeshwari and their children. According to Raju, the beggar, Nanhe Pandit (45), would frequently visit the neighbourhood, including their house, to ask for alms. Raju told the police that he had noticed Nanhe Pandit chatting and talking on the phone with Rajeshwari on several occasions.
A few days ago, Rajeshwari left the house, saying she was going to buy vegetables, but she never returned. The money Raju had saved from selling a buffalo was also missing from the house. This led Raju to suspect that Rajeshwari had eloped with Nanhe Pandit.
The police have registered a case against Nanhe Pandit under sections that could result in up to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine. The search for the duo is ongoing.
