Malayalam film Aadujeevitham to Oscars; selected for initial round 

Blessy’s Aadujeevitham has been selected in the initial round for the 97th Oscar Awards. It was selected in the general category of best film. There are 25 movies in the list. Ten films will be selected from this through voting.

Films from India are usually considered in the foreign cinema category. However, it is rare for an Indian film to be considered in the general category for best picture. Voting will start from January 8th and can vote till 12th. Entry to the second round will be after calculating the voting percentage. Earlier, Malayalam film 2018 also entered the preliminary round in a similar manner, but it couldn’t go ahead.

When Blessy turned the most read novel in Malayalam into a movie, it became a memorable vision. Prithviraj played the hero Najeeb in the film. The film won seven state awards including best actor.
