THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall in 10 districts of the state tomorrow. The districts likely to experience rain are Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad. However, no special rain warnings have been issued for any district.

A cyclonic circulation is currently present over the southeastern and southwestern Bay of Bengal. Consequently, there is a possibility of isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Kerala on January 13 and 14, the IMD said.

Today, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, and Ernakulam districts are likely to receive light rainfall. On January 12, similar conditions are expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, and Ernakulam. On January 13 and 14, light rainfall may occur in all districts across the state, as per the IMD.

The IMD has stated that there are no restrictions on fishing activities along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts today (10/01/2025).
