THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More information is out in the Neyyattinkara Samadhi controversy. Neighbours say that Gopan, whose children claim that he has attained samadhi, has been bedridden for years. Neighbours told the media that Rajasenan used to fight with his father Gopan for urinating on the bed. Rajasenan was previously taken into custody by the police in a theft case. It is said that he used to perform black magic rituals in the middle of the night.

The locals came to know about what happened only after the children pasted posters on the wall of the temple near the house saying that Gopan had attained samadhi. With this, the locals protested alleging that the incident was mysterious. Police have registered a case in the incident. The Samadhi place built by the children will be demolished in the presence of the RDO. The police said that if the body is found, the post-mortem process will be started.

Rajasenan told the media that his father had attained samadhi of his own accord. Gopan had built a temple next to his house in 2016. During the first two years, the ceremonies were performed appropriately in the temple. However, the locals allege that recently the ceremonies in the temple were held mostly at night. Rajasenan says that the temple will prosper through his father's samadhi.
