SHARJAH: One of the most challenging aspects of air travel is the weight of carry-on baggage. Now Air Arabia, a budget airline, has come out with a favorable announcement regarding the baggage weight for the passengers. Air Arabia has increased the hand baggage allowance for passengers.
Air Arabia has increased the weight of hand luggage for passengers from 7 kg to 10 kg. The total hand baggage allowance is 10 kg. According to the airline's website, this includes carry-on bags, personal items and duty-free purchases. Passengers can carry two bags within this weight limit. The maximum size of a carry-on bag including handles, pockets and wheels is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. The size of the second bag containing personal belongings should be 25cm x 33cm x 20cm. It should be a bag that can fit under the passenger seat. At the same time, the airline also stated that those travelling with infants can carry an extra 3 kg
Other airlines in the UAE such as Emirates, Fly Dubai and Etihad have a hand baggage limit of 7 kg.
