KOCHI: The State Women's Commission Chairperson P Sathidevi expressed happiness over businessman Boby Chemmanur admitting wrong over insulting actress Honey Rose. Sathidevi said she was happy with the women's commissions work that helped bring a billionaire under the ambit of law for his ill remark at an actress. She said it was remarkable to prove once again Kerala was a state governed by the rule of law where people get punished for their crimes, regardless of their stature.
P SATHIDEVI:
“Despite the existence of the strongest laws aimed at protecting women's dignity and pride, it is generally seen that women do not come forward to file complaints. And when an actress came forward with a complaint, the home department in Kerala got behind her back with support. I am also happy that Boby admitted his mistake.
I don’t know the VVIPs who visited Boby in jail. Anyone can visit inmates if conform with the jail rules. If we get any complaint, definitely we will move ahead with a case against Rahul Easwar”
