KOCHI: Boby Chemmanur's bail order has been released in the sexual assault case against actress Honey Rose. The court held that the prima facie case would be sustained and directed Boby to appear for questioning as and when required by the investigating officer. Activists led by organizations such as the Men's Association are waiting to receive Boby Chemmanur, who will be released from prison.

The court has directed to give surety of Rs.50000. The order also states that bail will be cancelled if the same offence is repeated. The court's remarks were made by quoting the words of Dr. Steve Maraboli, an American motivational speaker. 'When you judge a woman by her appearance, it doesn't define her, it defines you.', says the order. "Human beings have different body types, some may be fat and some may be thin, but body shaming based on that is not right," the court observed.

"Body shaming is not something society can tolerate. Making comments about someone's body is not okay. Such comments about another man or woman should be avoided in public." The court also stated that the bail is given considering the assurance of the defence counsel that Boby Chemmanur will not make similar remarks.

"The accused has used double meaning. The contention of the defence counsel that the charges levelled against the accused are not sustainable cannot be accepted at the moment," the court said.
