Lakhs of people receive divine blessing through darshan; Makaravilakku shines at Ponnambalamedu

PATHANAMTHITTA: Makaravilakku shines at Ponnambalamedu as a blessing to the devotees who were waiting with the prayer "Swamiye saranam Ayyappa". Sannidhanam and its surroundings were filled with Ayyappa devotees hours in advance itself. Makaravilakku shined at Ponnambalamedu after the deeparadhana adoring the Thiruvabharanam on Ayyappan around 6:30 in the evening. About two lakh devotees came to Sabarimala today to see Makaravilakku. Police has provided heavy security at various places.

The Thiruvabharan procession that started from Pandalam was given a grand reception at Saramkuthi. Devaswom representatives and Ayyappaseva Sangam workers received the procession and escorted it to Sannidhanam at 6 o'clock.

Kalamezhuthu will be held at Mani Mandapam at night. Ezhunnallathu and Nayattu Vili of Ayyappa Swami in front of the Pathinettampadi afterwards. Darshan of Ayyappaswamy wearing the Tiruvabharanam can be made till the 17th. Neyyabhishekam will happen till 18th. Ezhunnallathu from Mani Mandapam to Saramkuthy on the 18th. Valiya Guruthy Pooja at Malikappuram on 19th at 10 pm. Devotees can have darshan till the nada closes on 19th night. Tiruvabharanam casket will start its journey back in the morning of the 20th. Then, after the darshan of the Pandalam Palace representative, Ayyappaswamy will be enshrined in ashes, clothed with Yoga Danda Stick and rudraksha mala, put in yoganidra and then the nada will be closed.
