THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Initial reports said there is nothing unusual in the death of Gopan Swamy in Neyyattinkara. The test results of the samples collected from the lungs should come and only then there will be clarity on the cause of death. The doctors have informed the police that the cause of death can be said only after the chemical test report comes.

A clarity has to be obtained on whether the death occurred inside the house. The postmortem of Swamy has been completed. It will take at least a week for the results of the internal organ sample test to come. His eldest son Sanandan was brought to the place where the postmortem was undergoing. Although he initially refused, was later ready to go. The family will receive the body after the postmortem. The body will be kept in the hospital today. He will be cremated tomorrow at 3 pm. Religious leaders will attend his last rites.

Gopan Swami's body was taken out of the burial crypt this morning. It was decided earlier that if the body was decomposed, the postmortem could be conducted on the spot. Therefore, a team including a forensic surgeon had also reached the spot. However, since it was not decomposed, the forensic team returned. The body was found in a sitting position. There were Bhasma and pooja items surrounding the body.
