Vadivelu, the numero uno of humor in Tamil cinema has been on a long sabbatical from industry. There was once a period in Kollywood when the comedian was ubiquitous and would do pivotal roles in most movies if not all. The actor even enjoys a wide fan base in Kerala. However, the recent years saw many controversies getting levelled against him and one such revelation from an actor is now doing the rounds on social media.
Famous actor Jayamani has now made some bitter remarks against Vadivelu in a recent online interview.
“Vadivelu is an arrogant person. Even at the shooting location, while he sits on the chair, the others are ordered to find comfort on the floor. Vadivelu even meted out the same arrogance against actor Singamuthu.” said Jayamani.
Some days back, actor Kottachi also turned against Vadivelu, alleging the veteran actor of siphoning their remuneration.
Vadivelu is often known by his fan-made moniker ‘Vaigai Puyal’. It was actor Raj Kiran who brought Vadivelu to the forefront of the movie business. After a slew of insignificant to vital roles, Vadivelu carved a niche in the field and there was no looking back. Before planning a superstar movie, it was routine for producers to queue up at Vadivelu's house for his dates as it was often believed that the actor’s presence would accentuate the mood of the movie and draw large crowds to theatres.
