KOLKATA: The court is set to deliver its verdict tomorrow in the case in which a junior doctor was brutally raped and murdered at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata. The trial court in Kolkata will pronounce the judgment in the case. Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police, is the prime accused in the case.
The brutal murder took place at RG Kar Medical College last August. The court had earlier granted bail to two other accused in the case: former medical college principal Sandeep Ghosh and former Kolkata police officer Abhijit Mondal. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had assured that the accused would face the death penalty.
