KOCHI: Activist Rahul Easwar said that the campaign to form a men's commission for men in the state of Kerala will start from January 30. Rahul Easwar said that what is needed is a commission for men just as there is a Commission on Child Rights for children and a commission for women. He also stated that he would hold discussions with two MLAs in this regard. Rahul Easwar put forward this demand in a press conference held in Kochi after the police informed that there are no provisions to file a case on the complaint filed by Honey Rose.
What Rahul Easwar said
'You all are targeting me because I don't have a commission to go to, right? Hounding me in front of the media and in front of the public, knowing that I have nowhere to go to complain and defend myself. Often the men in this country are legally orphans. Our country has courts and human rights commissions. Then why a Women's Commission? Aren't women human?
What I am saying is that there should be a women's commission. Because, even though women can go to court and police stations, they have their own problems. Child Rights Commission is to solve the problems of children. Similarly, there should be a Men's commission. It is because of its absence that they are able to hunt down Rahul Easwarr and others. Even if I am jailed, this stand for men and families will continue.
The campaign for the Men's Commission will start from the martyrdom day of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on January 30th. The justice that Oommen Chandy and Eldhose Kunnappilly did not get should be delivered to the common people of our country. There is no hope for that now. I have been able to communicate with two MLAs. They will be notified in this regard. One MLA is Chandy Oommen. Will meet him on Tuesday and submit a petition. Discussions were held in person with MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly. He has assured that it can be introduced as a private bill in the assembly'- said Rahul.
