PALAKKAD: In a serious breach of etiquette, a student hurled abuse at his teacher for confiscating mobile phone. The incident took place at Anakkara Government Higher Secondary School, Palakkad.
Strict instructions were given to the students not to bring mobile phones to school. However, this 11th-standard student cared less about the rules and continued using phones inside the class. On Friday, the teacher spotted him using the phone and seized it from him. The phone was later handed over to the principal.
The student came to the headmaster's room demanding the teacher return the mobile phone. The teacher didn't relent and so the 16-year-old boy screamed out loud in rage and threatened to kill him. The teachers and the PTA have filed a complaint with the Trithala police.
