THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Complaint that student was assaulted by SFI again in University College. A first-year student was assaulted. It is reported that the student was beaten up under the leadership of Mithun, who is accused in the case of beating up a differently-abled student. Cantonment police registered a case in the incident.

The student, who has now been assaulted, is a friend of the differently-abled person who was assaulted earlier. The women's union chairperson of the college had asked the students to donate blood this morning. The group was provoked when the student said that he had donated blood two months ago and therefore cannot do it now.

According to the complaint of the student, the chairperson spoke callously to him and he was later beaten up by Mithun. Meanwhile, the chairperson has also filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the complainant student spoke to her in foul language. A case was filed on this complaint also.

The attack on the differently-abled student took place on December 2 at 5 pm. Muhammed Anaz of Poovachal Perunguzhi Konniyoor Chakkipara, a second-year student and his friend Afzal were attacked. Afzal, who tried to protect his friend, was also rounded up and attacked. Anas was brutally assaulted by kicking his disabled leg and hitting him on the head with a metallic rod. Anas, in his statement to the police, said he was attacked for not doing organizational work.
